Fazilka, June 10

The State Special Operation Cell (SSOC), Fazilka, claimed to have nabbed a smuggler and recovered heroin, along with drug money, from his possession.

Sources at the Fazilka SSOC police station said a team of cops conducted a raid near the Shayame Ke border outpost and nabbed one Mangal Singh, alias Mangli, of Jhanga Rai Hithar, Guruharsahai subdivision, Ferozepur. The police recovered 880-gm heroin and Rs 6.75-lakh drug money from his possession.

He is said to have ordered the drug from Pakistan-based suppliers through WhatsApp.
