The aide, identified as Gurlal Singh, a resident of Dhunn Dhaiwala village of Tarn Taran, is still at large.

Preliminary investigation indicated that the contraband was pushed by a Pakistan-based smuggler, Kodar Masih of Maniala in Lahore.

Amritsar (Rural) SSP Vikram Jeet Duggal said raids were on to nab Gurlal Singh, who had been absconding since the arrest of Davinder Singh. He said the police were trying to identify his other accomplices.
