Hockey Olympians release book
The Olympic field hockey doyens of Pakistan today unveiled a book titled ‘Punj-Aab De Shah Aswaar’ penned by Navdeep Singh Gill from India, during an event held at the University of Management and Technology, Lahore.
The book chronicles the sporting heroes of both Charhda Punjab (in India) as well as Lehnda Punjab (in Pakistan).
In the comprehensive deliberations held during the course of the book’s release, former Pakistani hockey player Abid Sherwani and Olympians Tauqeer Dar, Tahir Zaman and Rehan Butt termed the book as a giant step in promoting goodwill and disseminating information about players of both Punjabs.
