Holidays in Punjab schools extended till September 3

Amid the grim flood situation, the Punjab Government has extended holidays in all schools till September 3.

Earlier, the schools were closed from August 27 to August 30.

In a post on X, Education Minister Punjab Harjot Singh Bains stated that in accordance with the directives of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, considering the flood situation in Punjab, holidays have been declared in all government/aided/recognised and private schools in the state till September 3.

He requested the parents and students to prioritise safety and comply with the instructions issued by the administration.
