The SIT constituted by the Vigilance Bureau (VB) to probe illegal sale of attached land of Pearls Agrotech Corporation Limited (PACL) has arrested three persons from Ahmedabad.

The VB said the accused had been identified as Harkirat Singh of Shamshpur village in Fatehgarh Sahib, Prabhjot Singh of Goniana Kalan village in Bathinda and Pardeep Singh of Jalveda village in Fatehgarh Sahib.

A VB official said the accused were wanted under Sections 406, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B of the IPC for their involvement in illegal alienation of properties belonging to the PACL at Gholumajra village in SAS Nagar, despite having knowledge that the Supreme Court had restrained the PACL from selling its properties.

He said they had taken transit remand of the accused who would be produced in the concerned court in Punjab.
