He described Punjab as the “best investment destination across the globe” due to its industry-friendly policies and congenial business atmosphere.

Addressing industrialists in Bengaluru, Mann said they were the backbone of the economy, providing livelihood to countless families. “Several industrialists have invested in the state and have expanded their business as the fertile land of the state inspires them to excel,” he said. Though Punjab accounted for only 1.5 per cent of the country’s land, it contributed 3 per cent to the GDP, he added.

Highlighting the resilience and global reputation of Punjabis, Mann said, “The hard working and resilient people of this sacred land have carved a niche for themselves across the globe. Punjab is a blessed land having footprints of great Gurus, saints and seers adding that anything can germinate on the fertile land of the state.”

“Punjab is also an idle place for shooting of videos and films adding that it has remained at the forefront in every field. The state government is also planning a film city,” he added. He also announced a new cricket stadium in Amritsar.

Mann highlighted the state’s power sector and agro-industrial opportunities. “In the last three years, there has been a paradigm shift in Punjab’s industrial journey which has taken a dynamic turn. Today, the state is an industrial powerhouse, leading in sectors such as food processing, textiles, auto components, hand tools, bicycles, IT, tourism, and others,” he added.
