From performing duty of 'sewadar', washing utensils and being shot at outside the Golden Temple gate in Amritsar, former chief minister of Punjab sure saw it all.

He performed sewa with a fracture in his leg, a spear in one hand, placard around his neck and humbly heard “shabads” for an hour everyday.
