Punjab police staff told to move dogs out of govt accommodation in a week if no permission sought for keeping pets

The Punjab Police on Wednesday said employees living in government accommodation who are keeping dogs but do not have permission for the same must move their pets out of houses in a week’s time.

Those failing to comply with the directive will have to face departmental action, a police order said.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
