Balwinder Singh, alias Sonu, an accomplice of Amandeep Kaur, the dismissed constable of the Mansa police who was caught with heroin on April 2, was arrested by the CIA staff police from Mohali on Monday.

Sonu was at large since April 4 and two cases of drug smuggling and assaulting a woman at the Canal Colony police station inside the court premises were registered against him. Sources stated that on Monday, the police received information that Sonu had been hiding in an area of ​​Zirakpur and Mohali district for the past several days. Based on the information, a team of the CIA police left for Zirakpur and Mohali on Sunday late night and the police team arrested Sonu on Monday afternoon. After detaining Sonu, the police team left for Bathinda, which will reach Bathinda CIA with Sonu by late evening. There, senior police officials will directly question Sonu.
