The Goraya police have busted an inter-district gang of robbers and nabbed its six members along with weapons from Chachrari village.

The accused have been identified as Vishal Bassi, Jatinder Singh, Manveer Singh, Surinder Singh and Parjan Kumar (all residents of Panchhat village in Phagwara) and Anup Bangar, a resident of Chachrari village.

SP (D) Sarabjit Bahia said they seized two pistols (7.65mm) three magazines, 12 live cartridges, .32 bore revolver with two live cartridges, .315 bore country-made pistol, six cellphones, a motorcycle and two sharp weapons from their possession. Phillaur DSP Jagdish Raj said a case had been registered under Section 115 of the IPC and the Arms Act against the accused.
