Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee chief Sunil Jakhar has accused the Akalis of doing two U-turns in as many days on the issue of farm Bills.

Reacting to Akali Dal MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal’s statement that she wasn’t calling the three farm Bills, brought in by Narendra Modi government, “anti-farmer” but farmers were calling these so, Jakhar claimed the Akali leader’s comment distancing herself from farmers “would bury her party completely”.

“If you thought Akali popularity has hit the bottom, just wait. The Badals are digging even deeper,” said Jakhar.
