Keshav Mittal, son of Dr Prabodh Mittal, a resident of Tapa Mandi in Barnala district, has secured the first rank in Punjab and seventh all-India rank in the NEET (UG)-2025 exam whose results were declared today.

Keshav secured 680 marks out of 720 in the entrace test.

Meanwhile, on the marvelous achievement of the young boy, the Mittal family was getting congratulations from relatives and friends throughout the day.

Keshav’s family said to achieve this stupendous success, Keshav showed total dedication and discipline towards his academics. He has shown that students from small towns can also shine if they get proper opportunities and guidance in life.

Talking to this reporter over phone from Chandigarh this evening, Dr Prabodh Mittal said there was a dream in the eyes of Keshav that he would do his MBBS from AIIMS, Delhi.

Three Bathinda friends shine with top ranks

Bathinda (TNS): In a proud moment for Bathinda, three childhood friends have secured top ranks in the NEET examination.

The trio — Himank Baghla, Janav Bansal and Reyansh Singla — studied together till Class X at a local school and have now emerged as top performers in one of the country’s most prestigious and competitive exams.

Himank Baghla secured All India Rank (AIR) 28, while his friends Janav Bansal and Reyansh Singla secured AIR 89 and AIR 99, respectively. All three students have expressed their desire to pursue MBBS from prestigious medical institutions in Delhi.

Talking to The Tribune, Himank’s father, Sunil Baghla, an assistant professor at Yadvindra College of Engineering, Talwandi Sabo, said, “Himank will be applying for admission in AIIMS, Delhi.” Sunil and his wife Seema, also an assistant professor at the same institute, said they were proud of their son’s achievement.

He gave the credit of Himank's success to his teachers in Bathinda. "Himank always got good marks in his studies. He used to study for 12 hours daily to crack the NEET exam," said his father.

Janav’s father is a bank manager, while Reyansh’s father is a doctor. The families of all three students were elated with the results and were hopeful that their children would soon begin the next chapter of their academic journey at top medical colleges.
