Two smugglers who were trying to contact accomplices across the border to take heroin and arms from them have been booked, the Khemkaran police said on Friday.
One of the smugglers was nabbed by the BSF and handed over to the Khemkaran police.
The police said the nabbed smuggler had been identified as Zora Singh of Mehindipur village and his associate was Sonu of Amritsar who was to be arrested.
The accused were sending Whatsapp messages to their Pakistan-based accomplices asking them to send them heroin and arms. They were nabbed from the Mianwala border out post.
