The family members of farmer Amritpal Singh, who inadvertently crossed over to Pakistan on June 21, have been running from pillar to post to get him back to India.

Amritpal’s father Jugraj Singh, other family members, along with BJP national executive member Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi, met Governor Gulab Chand Kataria in Chandigarh recently.

They urged the Governor to intervene in the case for ensuring Amritpal’s safe return to India. Jugraj claimed the Governor assured support in the case. Jugraj said, “BSF officials have taken up the issue with Pak officials repeatedly, but to no avail so far.”
