Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh today ruled out any role of Prashant Kishor in the finalisation of Congress ticket in the 2022 Assembly elections. There are set norms for ticket allocation in the party that are followed in all elections in all states and Punjab was no exception, he said.

A state election committee is set up by the party high command ahead of Assembly poll in every state and that committee considers all names and decides on the final candidates, he said. The shortlisted names were then sent for scrutiny to the screening committee. The final decision is taken by the central election committee of the party, he added.—TNS
