Barnala: A labourer was allegedly murdered at Kube village on Sunday night. Dhanaula SHO Jagdev Singh Sidhu said Rajesh Kumar Sunny had an altercation with Labhu of the same village over a petty issue. Some villagers intervened and solved the matter. Later, Labhu along with five other persons attacked Sunny. The victim was dragged outside of his house and attacked. Sunny died due to serious injures. The police have registered a case against six persons. TNS

Busting myths related to vitiligo

Faridkot: Doctors of Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital on Monday began a campaign to bust myths related to vitiligo, a condition characterised by white spots on the skin that appear as a result of loss of melanocytes. Though it does not has any harmful effect on a person, vitiligo is a much feared condition, especially in rural area said Dr Sumir Kumar.
