Liquor, poppy husk seized in Abohar
The police claimed to have seized 200 liquor bottles from the possession of a motorcyclist on Saturday.
The accused has been identified as Sandeep Singh, a resident of Ajit Nagar, Abohar.
The police said Kuldeep’s motorcycle was intercepted near Alamgarh village and he was nabbed with liquor smuggled from Rajasthan.
Cops said they had also impounded his bike. They said a case had been registered under the Excise Act against the accused.
In another case, Baldev Singh Dilbagh of Ratta Tibba village was arrested with 5 kg poppy husk.
The accused was intercepted near Gumjal barrier on Abohar-Sriganganagar Road. A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) against Baldev.
