District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman District Legal Services Authority Arun Gupta said, “Permanent Lok Adalats are proving a boon for settlement of disputes related to public services as the cases are disposed of quickly and litigants get free and cheap justice.”

He said banking related issues, insurance, real estate, aadhaar card, ration card, old age pension, shagun scheme, public distribution system, birth and death registration, marriage registration and water supply and sanitations were settled at Permanent Lok Adalats.

Gupta added that any needy person can come for the settlement and in cases where lawyers were required, the District Legal Services Authority also provides free services.

He said financial disputes up to one crore can be taken up in the Permanent Lok Adalat. The judgment of this court has the recognition of the decree of the civil court.
