The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of Special Operation Group (SOG) of police in Sriganganagar arrested a youth with 12,500 narcotic pills.

Superintendent of Police Gaurav Yadav said based on a tip, the teams arrested Narsi Ram of Bajju village near the Locust Control Team office on National Highway 62 with 12,500 narcotic pills. The SP said Ram had procured the consignment from an individual in Nagaur.

In a separate operation, another police team arrested Surinder Pal Singh from Chhapianwali and Sheo Prakash from Panniwala in Sadhuwali village. The police said 2,000 Pregabalin capsules were seized from their possession. During questioning, the two suspects revealed a youth who had come from Abohar gave them the bag of capsules. The police said they have registered a case against Singh and Prakash, adding that efforts were underway to trace the individual who supplied the drugs.
