Man dies in car-truck collision, 3 critical

A car-truck collision on the Amritsar-Jamnagar Bharatmala road near Udasar village in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan, late Friday night claimed the life of the car driver and left a couple and their five-year-old daughter seriously injured.

The family was on their way to Dhora Mehrajpur village on the Abohar–Sitto Gunno Road to pay obeisance at the Bishnoi Mandir. They had hired a car for the journey.

Police identified the deceased driver as Manak Lal Jat (35). The injured were identified as Rakesh Bishnoi (33) of Roda village, his wife Sharmila (32) and their daughter Yashsavi (5). According to eyewitnesses, the car rammed into the truck, leading to severe damage to the vehicle. Local residents quickly intervened and rescued the injured family members.

Upon receiving the alert, an ambulance from Emergency Service 108 arrived at the scene and transported the injured to a hospital in Sriganganagar, where they were admitted to Aviate Hospital. The body of the driver was placed in the mortuary of the government hospital.
