A 35-year-old man died after hitting a six in a friendly match at a cricket ground at Guru Har Sahai in this district on Sunday.

According to information, Harjit Singh, a carpenter, was fond of playing cricket. Harjit would play cricket every Sunday and today he was batting on 49 off 22 balls when he collapsed on the pitch.

He suffered a heart attack and could not survive despite attempts to revive him. He was taken to hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
