The accused Dogar Singh had an old land dispute with his brother Ranjit Singh due to which his son Gurmeet Singh, in a inebriated state, had come to Ranjit’s house to pick a fight. Meanwhile, victim Sucha Singh knocked on the door to deliver milk at the house. On hearing the knock Gurmeet began hurling bricks and stones at Sucha after which he suffered serious head injuries.
