A matrimonial dispute claimed two lives at Rauke Kalan village in Moga today. Gurbaj Singh, a resident of Raniwal village of Muktsar, allegedly killed his son Mankirat Singh, 6, by giving him poison. Later, he also ended his life by consuming poison.

According to villagers, Karamjit Kaur of Rauke Kalan village married Gurbhaj 10 years ago. For the past some time, the couple had a matrimonial dispute. Gurbhaj today reached his in-laws’ village and killed his son Mankirat on the outskirts of the village and then ended his life.

Badhni Klan SHO Harvinder Singh said a murder case had been registered against Gurbaj on the statement of Karamjit.
