Bathinda Lok Sabha MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Tuesday alleged that the Punjab Government was misusing MGNREGA funds and that the Chief Minister's pictures were being used on certificates issued to PM Awas Yojana's beneficiaries in the state.

She raised the issue during Question Hour, claiming that such a practice was being followed in villages falling in her constituency and sought to know what action will be taken in the matter.

In response, Union Minister for Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan assured her that in case any irregularities were found after a probe, necessary action would be taken in the matter.
