Deputy Commissioner Pallavi presided over the inaugural session, and Malerkotla Legislator Dr Zamil Ur Rehman was the chief guest. The DC said among the problems that were redressed during the camp were the Aadhaar Card, mutation of registered deeds, old age and widow pension, income certificate, new power connection, issuance of residence certificate, and issuance of a new smart card.

Senior officials of government departments — Agricultural, Fisheries, Horticulture, Cooperative, Industrial, and Animal Husbandry — highlighted details of various social welfare schemes being launched by them, besides redressing complaints of visitors at the camp.

DC Pallavi said special camps are being organised at public places in various villages and wards of all three subdivisions of the district under the Sarkar Aapke Dwar programme of the Punjab Government, led by CM Bhagwant Mann. Elected representatives of respective localities and social activists were seen acting as a bridge between the beneficiaries and government personnel during these camps.

The organisers of the camp said officials of public dealing government departments organised stalls during camps being held at various localities according to a previously prepared roster. They said complaints received during the camps were either redressed on the spot or a process for the same was initiated. They said doctors and paramedical staff had organised booths for examination and treatment of patients during the camp.
