Moga police today claimed of having arrested a narcotic smuggler. The accused, Vicky Arora alias Vijay Arora of Bhim Nagar, was nabbed with 24,000 tramadol tablets from his car.

Further investigation led to a godown raid, recovering a total of 2,80,800 tramadol tablets, 8,75,900 pregabalin capsules, 4,500 bottles of codeine syrup, Rs 52,500 in drug money and the vehicle used for smuggling. The total seizure is valued at Rs 4.2 crore.

The accused has a prior record involving commercial quantity drugs. A probe is underway to uncover the full network as well as forward and backward linkages of this drug syndicate.
