After a day-long visit to Abohar, Union Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu returned to New Delhi last night by a special train.
At Panjkosi village, MLA Sandeep Jakhar, councillors Narender Verma and Satish Siwan said Railways had provided a second platform at Abohar station. More than a dozen trains halt there, but it has no water cooler, toilets or shelters for hundreds of passengers. The MLA and other representatives said that Udyan Abha Toofan Express Train (Sriganganagar-Howrah) was cancelled in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic. Its services have not been restored.

Bittu interacted with the Ambala Division Railway Manager after hearing these problems and issued instructions to consider those and take necessary action.
