Rajya Sabha member Vikramjit Singh Sahney on Saturday called on Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and discussed the roadmap for improving fiscal health of Punjab

“Punjab contributes about 250 lakh MT of foodgrain to the national stock every year. For this, the state has been availing the cash credit limit (CCL) from a consortium of banks,” said the MP

He requested the Finance Minister to facilitate CCL and short-term loans at lower rates for Punjab.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
