Muktsar, July 31
Residents of the Goneana road area here today lodged a protest outside the office of the Water Supply and Sanitation Department on the Kotkapura road, demanding the laying of new sewerage in their area. The protesters blocked both entrances to the MC office.

Hell-like conditions
We are living in hell-like conditions and the officials of the departments concerned say the laying of sewerage is not in their domain. If our issue is not resolved soon, we will intensify our protest in the coming days. Anup Singh, a protester

Meanwhile, officials of the Water Supply and Sanitation Department said they would resolve the issue soon.
