On this achievement, Deputy Commissioner MK Aravind Kumar today honoured the village panchayat at the District Administrative Complex. The DC said other villages, too, should follow in the footsteps of Dhulkot.

Jagdeep Singh Kala Sodhi, a social activist from Dhulkot village, said: “Only 2 per cent people, who either are Covid positive or have gone to the farmer protest at the Delhi border, are left out.” Dhulkot sarpanch Santosh Kaur appealed to the rural populace to get vaccinated without any fear. The government has announced Rs 10 lakh special grant to each fully vaccinated village. — TNS
