Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee chief Navjot Singh Sidhu has appointed Jalandhar Cantt MLA and his close confidant Pargat Singh as PPCC general secretary (Organisation).

The approval to the appointment from the party high command comes days after the appointment of Sidhu and his four working Presidents.

Pargat Singh was among the few others who had been quite vocal about the functioning of the state government and had targeted CM Capt Amarinder Singh.

The next step would be to appoint district level coordinators and presidents of the district units, besides other office-bearers.

Sidhu is learnt to have sent his proposal in this regard to party high command. It is being discussed that barring three MLA, Kuljit Nagra, Sangat Singh Gilzian and Sukhwinder Danny, the parry would desist from appointing other MLAs as office-bearers in the PPCC.
