The state government today issued fresh posting orders for senior police officers, including one Special DGP, six ADGPs and one IG.

Special DGP BK Uppal, who headed the Vigilance Department during the Amarinder Singh government, has been posted as Special DGP (Investigation) Lokpal.

ADGP Gaurav Yadav, Special Secretary to the CM Punjab, has been given the additional charge of ADGP (Administration). Other ADGPs given new charge include Gurpreet Deo, ADGP, Community Affairs Division and Women Affairs; Jatinder Kumar Jain, ADGP (PSPCL); SK Asthana, who was involved in the Majithia case, is posted as ADGP (Policy and Rules); Praveen Kumar Sinha, who headed the Prisons Department earlier, is the ADGP, Punjab Human Rights Commission; and Nageswara Rao is ADGP, Human Rights.
