Ropar: The stone-laying ceremony for the new building of the Ropar bus stand, which was scheduled for Friday, has been postponed for an indefinite period. CM Capt Amarinder Singh, who would launch a state-level cheque disbursal programme to waive loans of landless farmers at Anandpur Sahib, was supposed to lay the stone. tns

Muktsar: Residents of Fattakera village in Lambi Assembly segment on Thursday claimed to have thwarted a breach in a feeder canal at Rajasthan.
