A team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) was in the city on Wednesday to interrogate the three accused arrested by the Punjab Police in the grenade attack case at the residence of ex-BJP minister Manoranjan Kalia.

The team of 11 sleuths from the Central agency questioned the executor of the attack Saidul Amin, auto-rickshaw driver Satish Kumar Kaka and his cousin Harry for the whole day today.

All three are in police custody till Sunday.

Senior officials of the Punjab Police said it was part of the routine exercise by the NIA to visit all places of a blast and take things on record. They are mainly exploring angles of national security, mobilising of resources from Pakistan and tracking the modules and their operators, they added.
