A horse reportedly touched the bus after reacting to an oncoming tempo, infuriating the Nihangs. They attacked the bus with swords and weapons, smashing its front glass and side mirrors. When the driver tried to pacify them, they severely injured him.

A police case has been registered on his

complaint.

In another incident, ASI Harminder Singh reported that while he was on duty near Gurudwara Sheesh Ganj Sahib, two Nihangs attacked a Hindu boy with kirpans and sticks. When the ASI intervened, he was also attacked with intent to kill. The boy and the ASI were admitted to the hospital.

SSP Dr. Ravjot Grewal stated, “No one will be allowed to take the law in their own hands. Such elements will be dealt

strictly.”

The police have registered cases against the attackers and arrested two Nihangs under various sections of law.
