The police lodged an FIR against Munish Kumar, Jassi, Mona, Saroj, Chinda and Varinder Singh under relevant sections of the IPC on the complaint Sunder Lal. So far, no arrest has been made.

In the FIR, the councillor alleged that he had been serving people of his ward since the curfew was imposed. However, some people had been knowingly creating problems.

He said the accused fought with him for not providing them with ration. He even showed them their names in the list and told them that he hadn’t received the consignment so far, but to no avail. Subsequently, the accused thrashed him. “The accused even slapped my niece and injured my brother who had come to save me,” said the complainant. — OC
