Ensure timely payment of salaries to sanitation staff, officials told

Barnala, December 20

Member of the National Commission for Safai Karamcharis (NCSK) Manju Diler today presided over a meeting of officials of various nagar councils and other senior officers at Barnala.

She directed all senior officers to ensure timely payment of salaries to sanitation staff of nagar councils and timely depositing of their provident fund amounts.

She also warned senior officers of action if any sanitation employee was found cleaning sewage lines manually and directed that all cleaning must be done with machines.

“We will take action if officials concerned failed to ensure timely release of salaries. The members of sanitation staff should also get required safety kits to protect them from diseases,” she said.

During meeting Barnala Deputy Commissioner Tej Partap Singh Phoolka and other senior officers were also present.
