One Dead, another injured in car-truck collision near Abohar

An accident occurred on the Abohar-Fazilka road near Burjmuhar village last evening, resulting in the death of a 25-year-old youth and serious injuries to his friend. The deceased was identified as Vishal Kumar alias Sunny, a resident of Chanan Khera village. His friend, Karan Kumar, sustained critical injuries and was initially taken to the Civil Hospital in Abohar by a private vehicle. However, doctors later referred him to a hospital in Bathinda for further treatment.

According to Pawan Kumar, Sunny's father, the two men were returning from a marriage function when their car collided with a mini truck. The impact of the crash caused Sunny’s death on the spot, while Karan was seriously hurt.

Meanwhile, in separate incidents on the Abohar-Hanumangarh state highway, two other fatalities occurred. In the first incident, a motorcycle collided with a stray animal near a workshop outside Dholipal village, leaving Bhup Ram Meghwal, a resident of the village, seriously injured. He was rushed to a government hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after.

In another accident on the same highway, 34-year-old Ashok Jat from Bhambhu Wali Dhani village lost control of his bike, suffering severe head and chest injuries. He also died during treatment in the government hospital.
