The police have arrested Mukhtiar Singh of Sher Singh Wala village in Guru Har Sahai subdivision of Ferozepur district on the charge of illegal sand mining. A sand-laden tractor-trailer was also confiscated from him. A naka was laid near Tahla Sahib Gurdwara here and he was arrested while on way to Shamas Din Chishti village. He has been booked under Section 303(2) of the BNS and Section 21(3) of the Mines and Mineral Act at the Amirkhas police station.
