In a video message released online a day after the campaigning for the December 14 polls ended, Bittu also slammed the state’s AAP government, saying it had no money to spare for farmers.

The minister also claimed that whatever development villagers witnessed in Punjab’s rural areas was funded by the BJP-led Centre.

“The BJP victory will mean more development in the villages,” he added.

He said the agriculture such as tractors and happy seeder machines had been provided to farmers by the funds provide by the union Ministry of Cooperation, which is under Amit Shah.

“The Punjab Government has no money to spare for farmers. They will be ousted from power in the next elections. The Centre has a bagfull of schemes for farmers, for which you should approach the Centre directly,” Bittu claimed.
