It has started tying up with hospitals to administer the vaccination and address the issues of hesitation among the workforce and their families to get the jab. According to the CII, more than 30,000 industrial workers in over 35 member companies in Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Mohali and Amritsar have been vaccinated since March 30 this year.

Meanwhile, the CII organised a virtual interaction with its ex-president Sunil Kant Munjal and CII northern region chairman Abhimanyu Munjal to spearhead the drive.

Bhavdeep Sardana, Punjab CII chairman, said, “So far, more than 30,000 industry workers have received the jab.” — TNS
