Former Member of Parliament Tarlochan Singh has been awarded the Padma Bhushan. Representing Haryana, he was a member of the Rajya Sabha from 2004 to 2010.

Tarlochan Singh was the Press Secretary to former President Giani Zail Singh. He was the former chairman of the National Commission of Minorities (NCM). The former MP also served as a member of the National Human Rights Commission. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
