Panel includes SGPC members Bhagwant Singh Sialka, Manjit Singh and Amarjit Singh Chawla, secretary Paramjit Singh Saroa and Gurdwara Bir Baba Budha Sahib head priest Giani Nishan Singh. The panel has been asked to submit the probe report to Akal Takht within five days.

A letter was also addressed to the Jathedar, wherein he was apprised that a Sikh prisoner, Man Singh, who had come for a hearing to Amritsar court on February 13, was handed over some sets of ‘gutkas’ and ‘pothis’ by the sangat present in the court. The jail security staff put the holy books on an almirah with no regard to their salience. — TNS
