Chandigarh: Raising the issue of proper implementation of the Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan (SCSP), Phillaur MLA Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary asked the government to formulate a law for the plan. He said governments over the years had allocated adequate funds for SCSP, but utilisation had been poor. He asked the government to bring a Bill to this effect.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
