The Punjab and Haryana High Court today fixed January 22 as the next date of hearing on a petition filed in public interest against the unfurling of the national flag on the Republic Day by minister Aman Arora on the ground of his disqualification from the Legislative Assembly’s membership

In his petition placed before the Bench of Acting Chief Justice Ritu Bahri and Justice Nidhi Gupta, petitioner Anil Kumar Tayal sought the issuance of directions to the State of Punjab to remove his name from thee letter dated January 3 for unfurling the Tricolour as she stood “presently disqualified from the membership of the Assembly as per the order’s of the Supreme Court of India”. The petitioner was appearing in person before the Bench.
