The occupants of three vehicles involved in a collision had a narrow escape on Tuesday morning near Singhpura village on the Abohar-Hanumangarh highway, about 35 km from here.

The reason for the collision is said to be dense fog on the highway, causing damage to the vehicles. Drivers on the way to Abohar or Hanumangarh had to face a tough time due to a jam on the road as they have to wait for hours.

According to information, heavy fog reduced visibility and when a car was overtaking a canter, a vehicle came in front of it, leading to the collision. Besides the car and the canter, a tractor trolley was involved in the mishap. With the help of a JCB machine, the vehicles were removed from the highway.

Chanan Singh of Arayanwala Kalan village in Faridkot said he was going to Abohar from Jodhpur in his vehicle and when he reached a spot between Kheruwala and Singhpura, the car of Prakash Singh of Bunglawala village and the pickup vehicle of Raiyat Ali of Dholipal village initially collided. He said thereafter, his vehicle also collided with other vehicles.
