Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated Phase 1C, academic and residential complex, of the IIT Ropar to the nation virtually from Jammu, here today. Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit was present in the IIT Ropar auditorium, where the function being held in Jammu was telecast live.

IIT Ropar director Rajeev Ahuja along with the other dignitaries also participated in the event. In his address, Prime Minister Modi congratulated the IIT Ropar fraternity, including students and researchers, for their unwavering dedication to transform India into a strong and vibrant nation on the global stage.

He emphasised that India was a country with a rich heritage and culture, rooted in knowledge from ancient times. The PM referred to the students as the ‘warriors of the nation’, urging them to contribute more to the country’s progress and development.
