Prime Minister Narendra Modi today paid homage to the tenth Sikh guru, Guru Gobind Singh, on his Parkash Purb.

“I pay homage to Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji on his Parkash Utsav and recall his courage as well as compassion. His life remains a source of strength for several people,” the PM said on X. Home Minister Amit Shah said, “Millions of salutations to Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Guru and the founder of the Khalsa Panth, on his birth anniversary.”

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee announced that Parkash Purb would be a sectional holiday in the state.
