The police have arrested four persons from different places under the Arms Act.

Assistant Sub-Inspector Bhagat Singh said Charanjit Singh, alias Cheema, was held near a marriage place in Jalalabad West. He said a pistol with the ‘Made in Italy’ mark and five 7.65 mm bullets were seized from him, adding a case under the Arms Act was registered.

Mohinder Kumar of Mirzewala village was arrested near the Irrigation Department office in Sriganganagar with an unlicensed .32-bore pistol.

Surinder Nayak, the son of a liquor vendor, was arrested with an indigenous pistol, which he had purchased from Ajay Nayak in Sriganganagar. A case was registered under the Arms Act against both suspects.
