Upon conducting a search of the vehicle, the police discovered the illegal firearm and ammunition. A case was registered under Sections 25, 54, and 59 of the Arms Act at Dhanaula Police Station.

The SHO confirmed that Gurpreet Singh Gopi is an “A” category gangster with a significant criminal record, including charges under Section 307 (attempted murder) and Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), registered at multiple police stations.
